Road-Race Course Measurement (Scotland)
Accurate measurement for all your races
Welcome to the website of the Association of UK Course Measurers (Scotland). This is the primary source of information for race organisers and runners on road-race measurement in Scotland.
If you are staging a road-race and it is advertised as being of a specific distance, you need to get it measured in order to obtain a race licence. We can measure your race, using World Athletics approved methods, and provide a Certificate of Course Accuracy that will enable you to obtain a Scotish Athletics licence.
Runners need, and are entitled, to know that the race they enter is of the advertised distance.
AUKCM (Scotland) is committed to upholding the integrity of road racing. Our detailed approach and accredited methods provide race organisers and runners with the confidence they need to host and participate in successful and accurate events.

Providing accuracy for your race
The Association of UK Course Measurers (Scotland) is dedicated to providing precise and dependable road-race measurements. With our expertise, we ensure, as far as possible, that every race meets the required standards, contributing to fair play and accurate results for athletes and organisers alike.
Ensuring every step counts
We are the only provider of road race measurement services based in Scotland. Our approach guarantees that your race meets the highest standards of accuracy.
Measurers based in England and Wales (or, indeed, overseas) can also provide measurement services.
Please note that we only issue Certificates of Course Accuracy for events staged under licence from Scottish Athletics or the Association of Running Clubs.
We are part of the national structure of the Association of United Kingdom Course Measurers (AUKCM). We aim to provide a focus on practice and procedures in Scotland as well as being a source of information on events in Scotland.
We welcome comments and suggestions on what runners and race promoters would like to see us include on this website.
