Fees and Charges

Measurers are independent agents and are engaged directly by a rerce organiser to undertake a measurement. They do not reveive funding from AUKCM, Scottish Athletics or any other body for the services that they provide.

Clearly measurers must therefore charge for their services, so it is important to seek an estimate of likely costs before engaging the services of any particular measurer. 

Costs are likely to include:

• travel costs (whether by car or public transport);
• meals and, where necessary, accommodation costs;
• the cost of items purchased specifically for the measurement, e.g. maps, paint'

Measurers may also charge an houtly rate for the time spent in preparing for the measurement plus time for the measurement itself and the writing of a report.
